CMI also produces a range of products derived from limestone. This is produced at the company’s second plant at Quriyat, which has its own limestone quarry for high purity white limestone and marble with estimated deposit of 20 million tons. The raw material quarried, is then processed into various grades to meet the needs of a wide range of industries.
CMI has been supplying Micronised Calcium Carbonate as filler to manufacturing units in Oman and UAE for the past 8 years. It also produces calcium carbonate in different grades for the oil drilling industry and is the suppliers of calcium carbonate to Petroleum Development Oman.
CMI’s limekiln has got a capacity to produce 100 tons of Quick lime /hydrated lime per day, which is meeting the entire requirement of the country and exported to neighboring countries, Africa and India. We can supply hydrated lime in commercial and food grade quality.
CMI has upgraded its ball mill with classifier and already started supply of stearic coated Calcium Carbonate to P.V.C. manufacturers.
CMI’s laboratory can do both physical and chemical analysis required in this industry and is equipped with new MARLVERN particle analyzer to measure 0.001 micron to 2000 microns. CMI will be able to provide chemical and particle distribution analysis certificates of the products it supplies, as and when required by its clients.
